Get to Know Us!

My name is Tatum and I am the VP of Events of the Autism Acceptance Club (AAC) and a 4th-year microbiology student at Grant MacEwan University. My passion for educating and spreading acceptance and awareness about autism stems from having autistic siblings and from my work volunteering at the Autism Centre in Edmonton and being an executive of the AAC. I realized there is a lot of misinformation about autism and not many resources where someone can easily find educational content about autism or information for accommodations. I have decided to make this website with Prachee to hopefully create a space that contains all the essential information about autism in one place while also amplifying autistic voices.

My name is Prachee Rijal and I am a high school student at Harry Ainlay. I am passionate about spreading autism awareness because my younger brother is autistic and nonverbal. Having an autistic family member has allowed me to realize that there is a really huge lack of basic autism education because many people do not even know what autism is and how to interact with those that have it. I have also noticed that people do not seem to understand the importance of autism acceptance, because family members of autistic people are often shamed, simply due to the fact that they have a family member that is different. It is really important that we try to change these things about society which is why I am making this website with Tatum. I hope to provide people with a reliable resource which amplifies autistic voices, encourages autism acceptance, and provides autism education
