Why It is Unacceptable To Say The R-Slur

• The r-slur is an extremely offensive word that is often thrown at individuals living with developmental disorders to insult them. It is a form of hate speech, and deeply hurts both poeple living with intellectual disabilities, and those who love/ support them. People who use the r-slur are encouraging the idea that those with developmental disorders should be ashamed, and hidden away from society which is incredibly disrespectful.
